Gloucester Cathedral 1,300th Anniversary Studio Pottery Plate
A lovely, deep, stoneware plate, made by Gloucester Pottery in 1981, to mark the 1,300th anniversary of Gloucester Cathedral! The commemorative studio pottery plate has dished sides and a flat rim, and is decorated with bands of mottled brown and fawn glazes, and an impressed roundel in the centre of the plate, that reads 'Gloucester Cathedral 681-1981' with a representation of two keys in the middle.
The impressed mark on the under-side of the plate is the maker, 'Gloucester Pottery' and the monogram mark NP.
