Two small, studio pottery vases with interesting glazes
We have brought together these two beautifully-shaped, and well made, but unmarked small studio pottery vases, each with its own striking, but complementary glazes and using contrasting clay bodies. They are perfect for simply creating a point of interest on your shelf, or they could be the start of a studio pottery collection!
There is more information about each vase below.
1. A small porcelain or fine white stoneware, studio pottery bud vase, with a spherical body and flared neck. Decorated with hand-applied glossy glazes in brown and cream. A popped glaze bubble is on the shoulder. The vase is unmarked, so the maker is currently unidentified.
2. A small, squat, conical-shaped bud vase; it has a finely-made stoneware form, and is glazed with several reactive glazes, creating an intriguing pattern with a glossy finish, in shades of brown, cream, and blue, with tan, ochre and even green. The vase is unmarked, so the maker is currently unidentified.
