Vintage 1960s Portmeirion Variations, orange and grey, lidded kitchen jar
A small, white Portmeirion storage jar with a chunky wooden stopper, in the abstract, orange and grey 'Variations' pattern designed by Susan Williams-Ellis, which was launched in 1964 and discontinued in 1968.
The striking and unusual 'Variations' pattern was designed so the large sheets that could be cut to fit many different shaped pieces and the off-cuts fitted together onto other pieces to reduce wastage and create some unique pattern placements!
